Supporting Children & Families in the Lower Mainland

The funding that Success By 6 allocates to the United Way of the Lower Mainland (UWML) is invested throughout the region.

Building on UWLM’s long-term investments in local Early Years community development work, the Success By 6 (SB6) funds are directed to activities defined in local Early Years strategic plans, with recommendations identified by local planning coalitions and approved by UWLM.  Empowering these coalitions to engage collaboratively in this kind of work supports them to continue to make gains in community-driven planning and coordination, awareness and mobilization, and improved service delivery.

The SB6 Projects grant focuses on local, small-scale projects that are essential to children’s development and overall family wellbeing. Examples include You Make the Difference parent education programs, Family Place drop-in programs, early literacy programs, and Parent Child Mother Goose bonding sessions.
